click here TV Correspondent Karamo Brown hosted the 1st Annual Fashion Vie Charity Runway Show and Auction, held at Bleecker Event Hall. The event brought together celebrities, designers, music artists, and influencers to help raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS and homelessness.
http://blog.kalungi.com/2016/12/ The event was inspired by the life and vision of designer Chuks Collins, who served as a costume designer for major film-production companies. His fashions have appeared on runways across the globe, including New York Fashion Week. But at the height of his illustrious career, he suffered a kidney failure that occurred after a car crash, sending his soaring fashion career into a two-year tailspin. But Housing Works’ Asylum Project gave Collins the care and support that he needed to heal.
While patrons sipped on Exclusiv Vodka and champagne, music artist Mekia Machine serenaded the crowd with her beautiful voice. After the show, Collins had a silent auction where attendees had a chance to bid on his new collection. Partners and sponsors included: BLOOM, Brotherhood Winery, Cosmo Girls Glam Event, CVS, Eat nYc, The Bronx Food And Wine Festival, Experience Africa, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, High Society Event Management, iCu The Network!, The Kulfi Co., Lady O’s Coquito, Limation, Lulu’s Bakery, New York Model Management, Pende Ahne Beauty, and TABOO Bakery Bar.
